The National Academy of Psychology (NAOP) India and the Department of Applied Psychology, Pondicherry University, INDIA are happy to announce the 29th Annual Convention of NAOP, India, and International Conference on “Making Psychology Deliverable to the Society. Developing societies like India inevitably lack material resources required for various domains of social development. Therefore it becomes imperative to utilize the available psychological resources maximally and judiciously. Moreover, within a particular society, there can be sections which are exposed to greater degree of deprivation, may be economically, socially, behaviourally or culturally. Thus, it becomes incumbent upon the psychologists to identify the ways and means to motivate these groups for growth and development. The psychologists have to mobilize as well as utilize the psychological resources like abilities, skills and motivation of the individuals. In addition, since the inception of Psychology as sovereign field its outreach to public is still a question in spite of its significant promises as a behavioural science.

Against this backdrop, the 29th Annual Convention of NAOP intends to bring together academicians, students and practitioners to deliberate upon the social deliverables of Psychology in the context of community, health service, workplace, environment, to name a few.
