NATIONAL ACADEMY OF PSYCHOLOGY (NAOP) (INDIA)
NOTICE OF 2025 ELECTIONS FOR THE VACANT POSITIONS
Dear NAOP Member,
The NAOP Election Committee is pleased to inform you that elections for the following office-bearer positions will take place as per the schedule given below. The Committee seeks your active participation in the election process.
The positions for which nominations are invited are as follows:
– President (One)
– Secretary-General (One)
– Members at large (Executive Committee Members) (Four)
– Division Presidents of following NAOP Divisions (Developmental, Cognitive, Organizational Behaviour, Cultural, Psychological Assessment, Military Psychology, Clinical & Health Psychology, Social Psychology) (one for each division)
Election Schedule
1. Date on which election notices will be sent out : December 15, 2024
2. Last date for filing nominations : December 24, 2024
3. Scrutiny and preparation of the slate : December 25, 2024
4. Sending out of the e-ballots : December 26, 2024
5. Last date for receiving the e-ballots : December 30, 2024
6. Announcement of the results : December 31, 2024
Procedure
The attached regulations provide the details relating to the qualifications that are required to be fulfilled by candidates contesting for various positions. A candidate who seeks to contest for any of the offices or the person nominating him or her will need to submit the following.
1. The attached Nomination Form in full. A form that is incomplete or which provides erroneous information will be liable to be rejected.
2. A certificate of NAOP membership (printout of email acknowledgment is sufficient).
3. Statement about his/her good standing in the Profession (curriculum vitae to be attached).
4. A declaration that there is no conflict of interest, especially financial.
5. A brief Biodata (of about 150 words) along with his/her vision for taking the NAOP forward.
The nomination form has to be duly filled and sent via email along with the necessary documents (mentioned above) within the timeline indicated in the notice to NAOP elections email id (naopelections@gmail.com).
