Awards

Each year at NAOP’s Annual convention, following awards are disbursed by NAOP.

1. Prof. D. Sinha Best Dissertation Award
Instituted by the Prof. D. Sinha Trust and hosted by NAOP, this award recognizes exemplary doctoral research that has significantly contributed to the growth of psychology and its impact on society. Shortlisted candidates will receive a participation certificate and reimbursement of their conference registration fee. The award winner will be conferred with a medal, certificate, and reimbursement of both travel and conference registration expenses.

2. NAOP Best Paper Awards
Instituted by NAOP, this award honors outstanding research papers presented at the convention, highlighting innovation and excellence in psychological science. A committee of experts will shortlist applicants, who will be invited to present their work in a special session. The award winner will receive a certificate and reimbursement of their conference registration fee.

3. Prof. M. B. Saran Award
Instituted by Prof. Damodar Suar in memory of his mentor and distinguished teacher, Prof. M. B. Saran, this award celebrates extraordinary contributions to applied psychology, with an emphasis on practical solutions to real-world challenges. Shortlisted candidates will present their work in a special session. The award winner will receive a certificate, reimbursement of their conference registration fee, and a cash prize.

4. Emerging Psychologist Session
This special session recognizes promising early-career psychologists who demonstrate exceptional potential for impactful contributions to the field. A panel of experts will shortlist four outstanding papers for presentation in this session. All presenters in this session will receive a certificate and reimbursement of their conference registration fee.
